A missing man formation will honor Mike at 5 pm local time.
Mike wore crocs in the oddest places so many of his close friends will obviously be wearing crocs and smoking cigars. We look forward to seeing everyone and sharing the many heart warming and funny stories we all have.

The family would like to remind his friends that in lieu of flowers they would prefer that donations be made to Mike’s beloved Silent Warrior Foundation

Mike DeBenedetto
It is with great sadness that the Silent Warrior Foundation announces the loss of one of our founding board members, Mike DeBenedetto. Mike passed away last night of complications from a valiant battle with COVID-19.
His wit and generosity were treasured gifts to all who knew him and will be sorely missed by us all.
Many, many beneficiaries of the Silent Warrior Foundation were positively affected by Mike’s constant and tireless efforts on their behalf often without them knowing of his efforts.
Never seeking the spotlight and not having served in the military himself, Mike was driven from the heart to give back to veterans and their families.
He gave his love to his family, friends and country openly and without reservation.
He is survived by his wife Melissa, daughter Gabrielle, son Nico, niece Amanda Pienta, and his nephew Nolan Pienta.
A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced soon. In lieu of flowers Mike’s family asks that friends donate to Mike’s treasured Silent Warrior Foundation.
